Giraffe is a licensed general contractor and real estate development practice dedicated to enhancing the livability of urban environments. Focusing on high-density neighborhoods and urban infill sites, we are reimagining the Los Angeles home through a diverse series of ground-up housing typologies. From custom houses and ADUs to multi-residential, live-work, mixed-use, and affordable housing, our projects inspire human connection and respond to the city’s evolving needs.

Working across acquisition, entitlement, construction, and operations, our firm integrates strategy with design intent from the outset. JOSEPH SHARAF

Joe is a builder with over 15 years of experience in construction and development. He studied at USC Architecture school and began his career working as a designer in the Shanghai office of former Dean Qingyun Ma. He subsequently worked as a fountain designer for WET, project manager for the hospitality company SBE, and then as VP of construction at Larian Development building custom spec homes. In 2016, Joe leveraged his uniquely broad base of expertise in architecture, construction, and real estate development to found Giraffe.
